GICLÉE FINE ART PRINTS

Giclée (pronounced Zhee-Clay) is derived from the French word “gicler” which means “to squirt, to spray”. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giclee. A giclée print is produced by a specialized large format inkjet printer using archival inks and high quality, archival canvas or watercolor paper. The process is relatively new having its beginnings in the1990s. Giclée prints are now considered to be some of the highest quality prints available and are accepted by galleries and museums throughout the world.

Our Fine Art prints use Premium Archival Eco-Friendly Papers are designed to highlight our images rich, saturated colors; deep dark tones and finely nuanced light tones. Giclée Prints are made with high-quality archival inks on fine art papers using a high-resolution large format inkjet printer. HOW ARCHIVAL ARE METALPRINTS?

Images printed with the MetalPrints process will last for generations when displayed indoors and out of direct sunlight. Like any fine art print, MetalPrints should not be exposed to direct sunlight or high outdoor temperatures. Images have an archival value rivaling the best gicleé or photographic processes. Plus, MetalPrints have an additional benefit over these other processes in that they are waterproof and have an ultra-hard scratch resistant coating. The archival value of a print should be judged not only by its resistance to degradation by U.V. light and ozone exposure, but also to moisture and surface damage. When these factors are brought into the equation, MetalPrints would be, without a doubt, the best way to preserve an image. Contact info@imaginepixelcraft.com for more information.
